What’s different

Spaces, not just groups

Chrome groups tabs. Dawn gives each part of your life its own space, with its own pinned folders and color.

Tabs that put themselves away

Chrome’s Memory Saver unloads idle tabs but leaves them open. Dawn archives the ones you didn’t pin after 12 hours, and the command bar still finds them.

The same extensions

Dawn is built on Chromium too, so it installs extensions from the Chrome Web Store.

Where Chrome wins

Chrome runs on every platform and syncs with your Google account. Dawn is for Mac and doesn’t sync yet.

Chrome and Dawn: questions

What comes over from Chrome?

Your bookmarks, from every Chrome profile, each in its own space. History, passwords, and extensions stay in Chrome.
